The Nutmeg Youth Football League (NYFL) continues to grow during the off-season with three new towns joining the league! Wethersfield Youth Football, the Middletown Jr. Blue Dragons, and the Woodland Jr. Hawks (Prospect/Beacon Falls Co-op) are the newest additions to this competitive league. The Wethersfield Eagles recently made the decision to join Nutmeg after years playing in the CTYFL, joining the Simsbury Trojans as towns coming to Nutmeg from the CTYFL. The Middletown Blue Dragons and Woodland Jr. Hawks make the jump to Nutmeg after competing in the CTYFC in prior years. All three towns sited the competition NYFL offers as well as the mindset of "it being about the kids experience" as the main reasons to join the Nutmeg league. Camaraderie, safety, and learning about the game of football have been the driving force behind the Nutmeg league for years and this focus continues to drive the Nutmeg board.

Join us in welcoming Wethersfield, Middletown and Woodland to the Nutmeg League. We all look forward to the 2020 season and continued growth and success at the NYFL.
